It is a great picture with any background. I have selected the white background and the picture becomes super. It is the composition that you have used. A square in the middle of the rectangle and the little guy just off-centre.

When you upload you are automatic under 'edit'. You can also as owner of the picture choose 'edit' just under the picture. In edit mode you will see a line "advanced settings" - it is a link and you can click on it. Some extra settings will open up. About right at the bottom you can select to choose between black and white backgrounds. If you default is black and you choose white, the picture will override present with the white background.

If you go to 'edit' after you have read this, you can change the background colour. It will not impact on your number of views.
